Little Fingers website

Case study / 2019

Brand identity & UX/UI design

Little Fingers is an online service I designed to help parents easily get healthy, organic meals for their kids. This case study explores how I created a website that allows parents to order nutritious meals quickly and efficiently. The design focuses on making the user experience simple and enjoyable, catering to busy parents who want to provide quality meals without spending too much time cooking. By emphasizing user-friendly navigation and clear visuals, I aimed to make the process as smooth as possible for parents looking to save time while ensuring their children eat well.

Project Development

In developing the Little Fingers website, I focused on a comprehensive approach to design, starting with a clear understanding of the Strategy. This involved identifying the target audience—busy parents seeking healthy meal options for their children—and tailoring the user experience to meet their needs. Next, the Concept and Scope were defined, laying out the foundational ideas and detailing the content and features required for the site. Finally, the Sitemap was crafted to illustrate the website's structure and navigation, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey. Each step was crucial in creating a user-friendly platform that aligns with the goals of the project.

The wireframes for Little Fingers showcase the initial design layout and structure of the website. This stage focused on organizing content and ensuring a smooth user flow. Each screen was carefully crafted to guide users effortlessly from browsing meal options to placing an order. The wireframes highlight key elements such as navigation, product categories, and user interaction points, providing a clear blueprint for the final design. This image effectively captures the foundational design work, illustrating how the user experience was prioritized from the outset.

The branding for Little Fingers is designed to be bright and playful, appealing to both kids and parents. The logo features fun, friendly typography that captures the joy of healthy eating and reflects the brand's cheerful personality. A vibrant color palette adds warmth and energy, making the brand feel welcoming and engaging. This cohesive design approach ensures that Little Fingers not only stands out but also creates a memorable connection with its audience. By combining visual elements that evoke happiness and health, the branding effectively communicates the core values of the service.

Brandind

The final design for Little Fingers brings together all elements of the project, showcasing a vibrant and user-friendly interface across both desktop and mobile platforms. The screens highlight a seamless navigation experience, with intuitive layouts that make it easy for parents to explore meal options and make selections. The consistent use of the playful color palette and engaging visuals reinforces the brand's identity, ensuring an enjoyable and cohesive user experience. This design effectively captures the essence of Little Fingers, making healthy meal planning a delightful experience for families.

Final design

The Little Fingers project was a rewarding experience, allowing me to explore the full spectrum of user-centered design. I particularly enjoyed the creative freedom of developing an idea from scratch, which is quite different from working with real clients who have specific needs. This freedom enabled me to design a cohesive brand identity and vibrant visuals that truly resonated with my vision. The project reinforced the importance of aligning design with user needs while also allowing for creative exploration, making it a unique and enriching journey.
